]]> The valve industry is featured with small scale of production and low industry concentration in China. According to statistics, China has over 3,000 valve manufacturing enterprises, which is the largest in the world. However, most of these enterprises are of small scale and family-owned, among which there are no more than 500 enterprises with annual sales revenue reaching CNY 5 million, and only a dozen enterprises with annual sales revenue exceeding CNY 100 million. The total market share of the first ten enterprises is only around 8% and 9%. Low industry concentration brings about many bad effects, such as outdated technology, low-price competition and less influential brands.

From January to December in 2016, China imported 859,210,000 sets of valves, with an increase of 18.9% YOY. The import value was USD 5,379,357,000, decreasing by 5% YOY. The following chart describes import volume of valves in China in 2016.

]]> Recently, according to import and export value and quantity datum of valve accessories (for pipeline, boiler, can, barrel and similar items) and their prices and quantity statistical results in 2017, import and export value of volume accessories in Mar increased 38.24% YOY from last year.

First, for import volume, it reached 9400 tons, up by 38.24% YOY from last year. In 2016, import volume of valve accessories was 32.1 thousand tons, up by 7.36% YOY from a year earlier.

CAGR of import volume of valve accessories was 4.41% in 2013-2016.

For import value, CAGR of it in 2013-2016 was 1.80%.

Import value of valve accessories in Jan-Mar, 2017 was USD 289.13 million in China, up by 26.97% YOY from last year. In 2016, import value of valve accessories was USD 1058.80 million, up by 0.42% from a year earlier.

Besides, for export volume, it reached 73 thousand tons in Jan-Mar, 2017, up by 7.99% YOY from last year. In 2016, export volume of valve accessories was 298.9 thousand tons in China, down by 5.35% YOY from a year earlier.

For export value, it was USD 476.35 million in Jan-Mar, 2017, up by 8.43% YOY from last year. Export value of valve accessories in 2016 was USD 1970.47 million, down by 9.42% YOY from the year earlier.
